Nurse Ellie

I was asked a while ago by a friend to make a few Christmas cards for her to sell at their Christmas fete to raise money for the baby unit she works in. Thanks to another friend (or two), I have quite a few to send up to her (well I will have when I finish mine!)
Since she's a nurse, I thought I would use this image from Tiddly Inks to make her a card to send up with the Christmas cards. I then decided to decorate the box too. I hope she likes it when she gets it in the post full of cards for her to sell!  I coloured my digital image using my promarkers, used papermaina papers for backing and printed the sentiment out on the computer.

I had a quick look around the challenge blogs and decided to enter my card in a few

Teddy Stampers - following the sketch on their blog
Promarker Challenge  - Teddy bears picnic (using a bear on your card)
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Let's get digital
Bee Crafty - Anything goes (digi image)
Alice in Wonderland Challenge Blog - a card with a little girl

Iris

I made this for the challenge over at the The Sugar Bowl.
Her name is Iris from the Sugar Nellie range and she's a digi stamp. The theme was pearls and I followed the sketch -

Frankie's Bride

I've spent most of my evening colouring and stitching. It kinda makes me wish I'd gone with faux stitching but I didn't! I was happy with the outcome although it took quite a few attempts to get her hair right.
I got this image from Pixie Dust Studio and decided to enter her into a few challenges

Stitch it up challenge - .Pixie Dust Studio - Pixie Challenge
Dieing for a punch! - Cute Card Thursday

Uplifting!

I made this for my friend. I love
this image it's just so cute!
Coloured it with my promarkers and cut it out with my nesties.

Forever Friends

I was asked to make a 'get well' card for a friend so I decided to make an easel card and enter it into the forever friends challenge.
I've only ever done one or two easel cards but they are fun to make and I think I'll have to do more.
I love using the forever friends images although I'm not so keen on die-cut decoupage, I LIKE cutting it all out! I think maybe I need to get me a few stamps with the bears on... I'm also loving these papers from the Eastern Promise pack by Dovecraft. The rate I'm going though them I'm going to have to buy another pack ...or two!

I think my friend will be happy with this, she wanted something bright and cheerful for her friend who is unwell.

Card for my friend

I made this card for my friend Dee a few
weeks ago but forgot to post it anywhere!
The bird design is from Pink Petticoat
and the flower and swirl are both sizzix dies.

21st Birthday Card

I made this card this card on commission for my Mum's Boyfriend (I think it's for his niece?). I love this image from wild rose studio (thanks Dee!) and think that yellow is going to be colour of choice for a while. I also bought some more feathers today and will be using more in my cards as I was impressed with the outcome! I had a picture of this card in my head and it turned out just the way I wanted it too. Doesn't always work that way though...

I've decided to entre this one into the 'Let's ink it up'  challenge-

Challenge #1 - ANYTHING GOES
with a twist - use the colour yellow somewhere on your project.

I don't enter many challenges, but I intend to start! It's good to be given a challenge or a sketch to work to.

These are two cards I made for my daughter Ellie's teacher
and her assistant for when she left year one.
The birds are from Pink Petticoat and coloured
with my promarkers. The background papers
are from an ever increasing stack of free papers
that I keep from craft magazines and never seem
to get round to using (until now that is!)
